Prison Network: For a humane and effective justice

The International Jesuit Prison Network

This network was established in 2014 to link the many Jesuits and Jesuit institutions involved in justice work – whether through prison ministry, advocacy, research or transitional support.

A number of Jesuit individuals and organisations undertake prison works throughout the world. The engagement with prisoners takes different forms – eg chaplain service, volunteer visitation programs, professional services supporting people in their transition back to community after incarceration, accommodation services, advocacy and research – or a combination of these components. Despite the difference in programs and environments, we believe there is much to learn from one another.

International Jesuit Prison #Network would like to capture and share your compassion and care, and your ability to adapt during these difficult times. Let’s find connection and hope as this challenging year draws to a close.
