The International Jesuit Prison Network
This network was established in 2014 to link the many Jesuits and Jesuit institutions involved in justice work – whether through prison ministry, advocacy, research or transitional support.
A number of Jesuit individuals and organisations undertake prison works throughout the world. The engagement with prisoners takes different forms – eg chaplain service, volunteer visitation programs, professional services supporting people in their transition back to community after incarceration, accommodation services, advocacy and research – or a combination of these components. Despite the difference in programs and environments, we believe there is much to learn from one another.
