The 10th World Congress of Jesuit Alumni is planned for 13-17 July 2022 in Barcelona. This meeting aims to bring together alumni, teachers, members and friends of the Ignatian community, people from all over the world who have received the education and values of the Society of Jesus, at the San Ignacio Sarriá School in Barcelona, under the message and motto of our congress: “United by values. Moved by the future.” Register here.

“United by values. Moved by the future”

Today we are facing enormous changes in our world, which will be the main focus of reflection and debate at the congress: the gap between the richest and poorest worlds, the promotion and defence of human dignity, dialogue between religions, demographic changes and migration, climate conflict, the technological revolution and digitalisation, and the democratic crisis that exists worldwide in many of our countries. All the topics of the congress can be found here.

These changes have been exacerbated in many cases by the impact of the pandemic, which has amplified the frontiers where dignity and justice are seriously compromised.

With the presence of Father Arturo Sosa, General of the Society of Jesus, we believe that this may be the moment to respond as an Alumni network to how we can collaborate to make our world a more just place, and to set ourselves the goal of generating a plan of action for the future of our associations and putting into practice our social sensitivity, in accordance with the words of Ignatius of Loyola “love must be put more in deeds than in words”.

The World Congress of Jesuit Alumni is part of the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the conversion of Saint Ignatius that we are celebrating this Ignatian Year 2021-2022. Find out all the details of the meeting on the website and don’t forget to register and share the news. We have a shared mission and we firmly believe that to further this mission and generate a greater impact we must strengthen our networking.
