“Renewing Earth” Challenge

Description of our collaboration proposal

With the publication of the encyclical Laudato Si’ in 2015, the Church put the focus on the protection of the environment and the fight against climate change with the aim of addressing its threats both globally and locally.

Therefore, on the occasion of the Ignatian Year between May 2021 and July 2022, the Ignatian Solidarity Network has joined the Laudato Si’ Action Platform to launch the project “Renewing the Earth. Living Laudato Si’ in the Ignatian year”. This will be a seven-year process in pursuit of sustainability and ecological justice.

From September, the Ignatian Solidarity Network will explore a different theme from the life of St Ignatius linked to an element of the Laudato Si' Platform for Action, with the aim of learning, praying and acting towards ecological justice.
