Jesuit Alumni Conversation: Refugees and Migrants

The goal of our collaboration proposal is

WUJA (World Union of Jesuit Alumni/ae) organizes a virtual discussion for alumni to reflect on the situation of refugees and migrants in these times of pandemic. It is also an opportunity to debate on the role of the Jesuit Refugee Service to respond to the needs of forcibly displaced people.

This virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020, from 3-4 pm CEST (9 am EDT, 8 am CDT, 7 am MDT, 6 am PDT).

Description of our collaboration proposal

This is the second digital conversation for Jesuit Alumni organized by the WUJA in an attempt to stay connected to the reality of refugees and migrants. This meeting is intended to deepen this issue and discuss the role of the Jesuits during these adverse times.

The panelists will be:

-          Alain Deneef, President of WUJA

-          Tom Smolich SJ, JRS International Director

-          Miren Mendiluce, Alumna of Deusto University (Bilbao, Spain)
