Conversations on environmental justice

The goal of our collaboration proposal is

To delve into the challenges of socio-environmental justice in the framework of the Global Compact on Education and Laudato Si'

Description of our collaboration proposal

Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad Loyola Andalucía organise a series of sessions to delve into the challenges of socio-environmental justice in the framework of the Global Compact on Education for Integral Ecology and the Encyclical Laudato Si'.

Through the development of three keynote speeches and three panels on 10, 17 and 24 June (at 17.30 Spanish time), the aim is to reflect on and build an articulating frame of reference between socio-environmental justice and overcoming the technocratic paradigm that draws attention to theoretical and practical issues from the academic community and from other fields of knowledge.

On the one hand, we will delve interculturally into legal, political and cultural frameworks of socio-environmental justice and, on the other hand, we will encourage a critique of the deficits of the technocratic civilisation that will allow us to recognise and promote proposals for overcoming them.

- Panel 1 - June 10. From Crisis to Intercultural Socio-Environmental Justice

- Panel 2 - June 17. Overcoming the technocratic paradigm of efficiency

- Panel 3 - June 24. Horizons of Transformation
