On March 23 and 24, the General Assembly of the International Federation of Fe y Alegría was held with the participation of 66 people, representatives of the 22 countries of the federation, guests from new Fe y Alegrías not yet federated and representatives of the jesuit Latin American networks Flacsi, Ausjal and EduRed; the Secretary of Secondary and Pre-secondary Education from Rome, Father José Mesa, also participated in the meeting.

The Assembly, which was held virtually, focused on the analysis of the current federative moment, the situation of educational emergency due to the COVID in the different countries where Fe y Alegría deploys its action, as well as the dialogue on the different joint sustainability programs that the federation is developing at the international level. At this assembly, two new members of the board of directors were name: Miguel Molina (Honduras, member) and Alfred Kiteso S.J. (DR Congo – alternate).

As is tradition, the Council of National Directors was held on March 25, in which only the national directors of Fe y Alegría participate together with the federative team. In this case the agenda, much more executive, focused on approving the Implementation Plan of the new Strategic Plan, as well as an interesting debate and the approval of a Federative Global Action Framework that will support the growing process of internationalization of this federation, as well as its projection towards an increasingly global governance and strategies.
