As the pandemic and the consequent humanitarian crisis progress, the organizations of the social sector of the Society of Jesus maintain their commitment and their efforts to give an adequate and coordinated response. In this second report on the Global Response to COVID19, the reactions and initiatives of 329 Jesuit organizations worldwide are brought together, thanks to the information provided though the specifically created survey.

This survey aims to be a living tool that, through biweekly updates, facilitates the collection of information that allows not only contextual analysis, but also strategic reflection and discernment. As the first time, the global report is complemented by three specific reports (JRS, FyA and Social Centers) in order to allow the analysis at network level.

The Xavier Network Emergency Team designated to create these follow up reports has worked on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of this information, in order to extract the most useful conclusions. Working under the Coordination of the Secretariat of Social Justice and Ecology, this second report focuses on the identified needs and design efforts of all participating entities, with a special emphasis placed on regional coordination and networking initiatives.

All the info is centralized and disseminated through a dedicated data-center at covid.xavier.network. A Brief summary of the outcomes can be downloaded here.
