Organized by the Universidad Loyola Andalucía with the collaboration of the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU), This international workshop is a great opportunity to learn more about Jesuit collaboration, the potential of the Jesuit higher education network, represented with the new International Association of Jesuit Universities, to educate global citizens who would lead a globalization of solidarity and cooperation with a global consciousness and commitment to the world.
The conference will be held on 19 nov 2019 at the Campus Sevilla of the Universidad Loyola Andalucía, and it will allow all attendees to share their knowledge and experience between them with plenty of time for debate, which we hope will result in further synergies, cooperation and joint projects.
We live in a Global World. People, places and economies are more interrelated than ever… we need to be open to communicate with other countries, cultures and in other languages. New technologies and innovations are making possible increased production and variety of services, but, again, these remain unavailable for the poor, increasing the world´s social gap. Our common home continues to suffer for our excesses. Inequality, violence and natural disasters are forcing a huge amount of people to migrate and become refugees.
Has there ever been a better time in the history of the Society of Jesus for our Jesuit schools around the world to consider how me might best promote the global dimension of our institutions? The 2018 IAJU Deusto Assembly brought our organizations together and highlighted the incredible potential and strength we have as a global network, let's move forward and set the world on fire.
