International Ignatian Ecospiritual Conference

Description of our collaboration proposal

Jesuits Australia, the Australian Jesuit Province, is holding the International Ignatian Eco-Spiritual Conference (IIEC) from 25-30 April to mark the 500th anniversary of the conversion of St Ignatius. This immersive event aims to bring together those interested in living an experience of coming closer to God under the teachings of St Ignatius and caring for our common home based on the objectives of the encyclical Laudato Si'.

In the introductory video to the conference, Jesuits Australia invites people from all over the world to come closer to God by spending some time each day in nature. During the conference there will be small groups adapted to time zones where participants will be able to share their experiences.

The event will be attended by the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, Fr Arturo Sosa SJ, Fr Quyen Vu SJ, Provincial of the Australian Jesuits, and representatives of various organisations that share his interest in nature conservation.
