The JRS and Encuentros SJM Peru offices have developed a joint analysis in a regional context report to present trends and profiles of migration dynamics in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru.
In doing so, they seek to provide elements for understanding the region, so that they can adapt and develop actions for comprehensive protection, reconciliation and hospitality in the accompaniment of refugees, migrants and forcibly displaced persons.
The central points that this regional context report develops are:
Risks along migratory routes
Migration management policies
Militarization, securitization and externalization of borders.
Gray zones in international protection
Migrations of certain indigenous communities
