Down to Earth Dialogues

The goal of our collaboration proposal is

To connect academic researchers with policy makers & practitioners to respond to the most urgent ecological and social problems

Description of our collaboration proposal

The Down to Earth Dialogues aim to bring cutting-edge academic research into dialogue with practitioners and policy makers. It is proposed by the Laudato Si Research Institute (LSRI), based at the University of Oxford and part of The Global Laudato Si’ Research Network (GLSRN), which seeks to channel the vast resources of scholarship toward meeting the challenges posed by the present socio-ecological crisis.

These dialogues are a unique opportunity to enrich and refine current academic thinking about today's world by sharing experience with those who are on the ground or suffering from some of these problems.

These are the next events (you can check them all here too):

Since opening in 2019, LSRI’s work has been inspired by Pope Francis' vision in the encyclical Laudato Si': On Care for Our Common Home, which calls all people to respond to the 'cry of the earth' and the 'cry of the poor'.
