In line with the 25th anniversary of the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP), the Ateneo de Manila University Press, in collaboration with the Ateneo SALT Institute, and the Jesuit Basic Education Commission (JBEC) launched the book Learning by Refraction: A Practitioner’s Guide to 21st-Century Ignatian Pedagogy last January 15, 2015 at the Areté on the Ateneo de Manila campus. The book is authored by the Ateneo de Manila Institute for the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching (SALT Institute) Director, Fr. Johnny Go, SJ, and the coordinator for teacher education and training, Rita Atienza. Both hope that educators—both those who are in Jesuit schools and those who are not—can use the book to guide their teaching. Learning by Refraction is designed to be a workbook that will make IPP accessible to our teachers, curating the latest educational research findings and using them to enrich one’s practice of the IPP. The book is available on the Ateneo de Manila University Press website: http://ateneo.edu/ateneopress/product/learning-refraction-practitioners-guide-21st-century-ignatian-pedagogy
