Following a call of the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat, social delegates and leaders of the global advocacy networks met in Rome from May 13th to the 17th. During the meeting, the situation, challenges and opportunities of the social apostolate in each conference were shared, and the situation of each network was presented. There are currently four international advocacy networks that have been promoted through the Secretariat for over the past 11 years: Ecology, Right to Education, Migration and Justice in Mining (Extractive Industries).

Together with the delegates of the social apostolate of Asia, Africa, Europe and America, the challenges that the newly defined Universal Apostolic Preferences pose for our work as organizations of the social apostolate were also analyzed.
In addition, the participants focused on the preparation of the 50th anniversary of the Secretariat of Social Justice and Ecology and the International Congress of the Social Apostolate which will be held in Rome in November 2019.
