Last December 21, the Ignatian Young Adult Network celebrated its launching meeting via Zoom, gathering more than 140 delegates of youth ministry, vocation promoters and collaborators in the mission of the Society of Jesus.
Fr. Arturo Sosa, SJ, welcomed everyone and expressed his hope that “Together, we can renew youth ministry. The goal is none other than to collaborate with God in his dream for the world through the lives of young adults. To be witnesses to a future filled with hope.”
The first phase of the network focuses on connecting those who already accompany young adults, for which there is a global map of partners, places and resources. In addition, knowledge-sharing activities are organized to develop a greater sense of a single apostolic body.
The Ignatian Young Adult Network is looking forward to the MAGIS 2023 event, which will take place in Portugal next July 2023. On that occasion, the network will be announced to the young adults themselves, welcoming them to the group, an active community of those pursuing a shared mission of justice and reconciliation for this world.
If you are accompanying young adults or are interested in doing so, please send your contact information to learn more about this network.
