Do we know what the impacts of the educational model of the universities, schools and Fe y Alegría programs are on the lives of their graduates, on their personal development and work performance, on their commitment to justice, on their leadership or on their contributions to social transformation? The Ignatian Virtual Teaching Centre addresses this and similar questions in its April-May 2020 selection of articles accesible here (in spanish)
This edition has been prepared at the request of members of CPAL’s EduRed consortium, and therefore very focused on Latin America, to raise awareness of a topic that concerns them, with a view to encouraging the joining of efforts for collaborative projects from their networks (AUSJAL, FLACSI and Fe y Alegría).
It is true that studies of the impact of Jesuit education on its graduates are complex evaluative processes, both conceptually and methodologically, because of their focus on qualitative changes both in the development of individuals and in their contributions to society as a result of the training they have received. However, the search for increasingly solid answers to the basic question cannot be ignored: do the universities, colleges and centres of the AUSJAL, FLACSI and Fe y Alegría networks adequately fulfil the purpose of the Jesuit educational apostolate in today’s context?
We appreciate the dissemination of CVPI’s bulletins in your institutions and among your friends. Those who are not subscribed can do so by entering their data in the form you will find when you open this link. We would also appreciate it if you could send us documents on this or other topics of Jesuit education, which would allow us to improve and enrich the public digital library that we offer at www.pedagogiaignaciana.com
