The XLVIII International Congress of Fe y Alegría took place from October 26 to 29 under the theme Educators of Fe y Alegría in the new frontiers of popular education in the 21st century. The Congress, which was originally going to be held in Colombia, was finally held virtually and brought together more than 200 participants from the 22 countries that make up the movement.
Throughout the four days, educators from around the world presented the results of reflections on the challenges and new frontiers of popular education, the role of the educator and the challenges and opportunities for networking. Discussions that began a year ago virtually, in the midst of the pandemic, and which generated important proposals for common action.
During the International Congress, the Fe y Alegría Educators Network was also launched, an initiative that seeks to generate actions to guarantee the Universal Right to Quality Education, as a specific contribution within the framework of the Global Education Pact called for by Pope Francis.
