Fe y Alegría Expands its Virtual School

At the end of this year 2023, the Fe y Alegría Virtual School has surpassed 10,000 registered users with completed trainings and is grateful for the learning, reflections and collaborative work that have taken place for the construction of learning environments with high value content, didactic and easy access. It is also grateful for the contribution of the countries’ training actions and initiatives on different topics, which have generated motivation and interest among the participants. The following are the training activities by category that took place in 2023:

The free courses continue to be a contribution for educators, with emphasis on the development of competencies in the use of digital and pedagogical tools.

In this way, the School continues to grow thanks to the commitment, dedication, passion and daring of many people who believe in quality popular education.

As part of the actions foreseen in the Operational Plan 2023, there is the development plan for the Virtual School, which had the support of the Popular Education axis and the external consultancy of Renata Rodriguez, in coordination with the Virtual School team. It also counted with the participation of leaders and those responsible for other instances such as: Technology, Communication, Sustainability Axis, Projects, among others, who made contributions to the collaborative work.

Seven sections were established for the development of the plan, which are shown below:

As a result of this work, we have a document in which each one of the aspects of the sections are specified and detailed, finally we concluded that:

• Escuela Virtual has evolved and expanded its portfolio of courses and services.
• It articulates training actions with various instances of Fe y Alegría International.
• It has a strengthened and experienced team.
• Users are satisfied with the services provided by the Virtual School and require new services.
• The Development Plan is focused on improving quality, enhancing the use of technology, expanding services and moving towards sustainability.
• The actions of the Development Plan can be implemented gradually and do not entail major costs.

The Virtual School team is committed and committed to advancing in the implementation of this development plan that guarantees sustained growth, collaborative work and collective construction among initiatives and countries.

They continue with the design and creation of virtual spaces that allow the development of training plans adapted to needs, interests, contexts and with capacities installed in local, national and international teams for management.

Strengthen the capacities of their work teams and that in this 2024 opportunities and projects continue to open up to achieve objectives for the right to learning from a quality, fair and dignified education for all.
