Ecostream is an online resource and reference system developed as part of Ecojesuit’s commitment to the Jesuit mission on Reconciliation with Creation.
Since 2015, it has been a platform for sharing ongoing initiatives in ecology and sustainability.
Ecostream is focused on five main themes, priorities identified during the Ecojesuit gathering in Bonn in November 2017:
- Disaster Risk Reduction and Water
- Energy and Fossil Fuel Divestments
- Organic Farming and Land Use Change
- Lifestyle Initiatives using Sustainable Development Goals from Local to Global
- Education and Solidarity
A wide array of online brochures, articles, and other publications are available, meticulously organized into dozens of sub-themes. Links to partner organizations and a directory of hundreds of Jesuit higher education institutions classified according to the six Conferences is also provided.
By communicating the actions and advocacies of Jesuit institutions and communities around the world, it is hoped that Ecostream will generate and contribute to dynamic discussions on ecological concerns, help institutions engage in new activities and learn how others are taking action, lead to active links and partnerships for more effective and innovative solutions to heal Our Common Home, and result in the much deeper process of personal and social transformation.
