CPAL: A Network of Networks

In September 2017 we already wrote about the CPAL as “Conference of Networks” referring to the structural change this conference of provincials was going through to evolve from the logic of “one delegate per apostolic sector” towards a dynamic of three delegates for the mission entrusted to animate the sectoral work together with the different network coordinators.

Two years later, one of the main results of this change is the growing relevance of third level structures (federations, associations, common projects or networks) and a wider and more integrated knowledge of the apostolic reality. As examples: two months ago CPAL launched a new campaign on the Right to Education built by the three networks of education of the Conference (Fe y Alegría, AUSJAL and FLACSI) under the new name of EduRed. Or they just announced a campaign called “Somos Encuentros” by the network of communication offices together with the Red Jesuita con Migrantes. The intention is to overcome sectoral divisions by promoting a transversal approach to apostolic actions and enhance the dimension of discernment and planning.

At the time of writing this post, all the social networks of CPAL are meeting at the same time in Guadalajara (México), a meeting of the social apostolate that includes the Red de Centros Sociales, the Red de Solidaridad Indígena and the Red Jesuita con Migrantes. Here you have a glimpse of the main networks at the CPAL level:
