In this time of pandemic we are seeing many innovations as a result of the need to creatively address the complexity of this new reality that affects all organizations and individuals, not just one type of apostolic sector or one population group.
One of the innovations we have found interesting is the fundraising campaigns that are being carried out on a corporate basis, not by independent organizations as is usually the case, but by coalitions of institutions, entire provinces, or even provinces in alliance with other church and civil society organizations. In this article we want to highlight only three examples, but we invite you to write to us at [email protected] with more suggestions that are surely being developed in your areas and of which we have not been aware.
Misión Jesuita Perú – #UnidosEnSolidaridad
UnidosEnSolidaridad is an initiative of the Peruvian Jesuits that invites people and companies to join efforts for those human groups that are especially affected by the health emergency in Peru and the rest of the world. It is coordinated by the Peruvian Development Office and all the works and people of the mission in Peru collaborate.
The funds are allocated to three apostolic platforms in the province (Arquipa, Ayacucho and Coraje) and the lines of work are Humanitarian Action, Citizenship and Advocacy, Education and Formation, Entrepreneurship and Microcredit, Spirituality and Faith Formation, Intra-structure and Technological Innovation and Promotion and Advocacy.
Inter Institutional Model: #ChileComparte
Chile Comparte is a campaign created by different Chilean civil society organizations, including the Jesuit Migrant Service, Techo para Chile and Hogar de Cristo. The aim of the campaign is to help the most vulnerable families in the country in the face of the health crisis, by bringing solidarity food boxes to those who need it most.
The campaign is carried out jointly and the aid is focused on families with difficulties in accessing food with which each institution works permanently.
Country Model: Argentina #SeamosUno
The Society of Jesus of Argentina-Uruguay is allied in this case with Cáritas, Banco de Alimentos, the Council of Evangelist Pastors, the Christian Alliance of Evangelist Churches and other business and social organizations to launch the project #SeamosUno to raise funds to be used to buy food and cleaning units, which will be distributed to the people who need it most.
The initiative aims to cover the needs of 4 million Argentines by assembling 1 million boxes of food and hygiene products. The campaign implies an exhaustive control in the processes of collection, acquisition of the products, assembly and control of boxes, and delivery.

The Jesuit.Network project is was launched in 2012 to promote reflection on the topic of networking and to accompany and foster international collaborative initiatives within the Society of Jesus and the Ignatian Family.
