From October 3 to 5, 2018, the Latin American University Volunteering Forum 2018 will be held at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, aimed at executives, managers, and professionals who lead voluntary action in the different Latin American Universities, students and volunteers of the Universities interested in reflecting on the subject and sharing their experience, academics who have tackled Volunteering as a field of study as well as members of the Association of Universities Entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America (AUSJAL). This Forum aims to promote an academic meeting space for critical reflection and production of knowledge about university volunteering, which favors the construction of new horizons of voluntary action in Latin American universities.
The Forum will be attended by Dr. Bernardo Kliksberg, Dr. Dacil Acevedo, Fr. Francisco de Roux SJ, Fr. Gerardo Remolina SJ, and Fr. Rafael Cabarrús SJ; they will share their reflections on the role of university volunteering in the transformation of Latin America. Presentations will also be presented by the volunteer coordinators of more than 8 universities in Latin America.

Likewise, on October 2, 2018, an Ignatian University Volunteer Work Table will be held, aimed exclusively to the delegates of each University of AUSJAL who lead and guide university volunteer processes. This will be a space to emphasize the ways and characteristics that Ignatian spirituality imparts to university volunteers. The goal is for the members of Jesuit universities to talk about the very foundations of the experience of volunteering, in terms of the individual and intersubjective transformation, from an Ignatian identity.
